Air conditioning with central heat pump or wall-mounted heat pump

To enjoy both efficient air conditioning in the summer and a heating system with unbeatable energy efficiency in the winter, we recommend you seriously consider buying a heat pump.

Do you think a heat pump is too expensive? Think again! Today, the price of a central heat pump is practically the same as that of a central air conditioner. The same thing applies for a wall-mounted heat pump: the cost is similar to that of a wall-mounted air conditioner.

Discover the advantages of heat pumps here.

To ensure that the air conditioning for your home or business (on the south shore and area) works efficiently on the hot days of summer, two types of appliance are available to you.

Central air conditioning/conditioner

This type of air conditioner uses the same air ducts as your existing forced-air heating system. The main unit (condenser) of a central air conditioner is located outside, while the evaporator is installed inside, in a vertical air duct.

The power of an air conditioner is generally indicated in BTU. The power of a central air conditioner is generally between 24 000 and 60 000 BTU.

During the first visit, our specialists will evaluate a number of parameters, such as the surface area of your home, the number of floors, the quality of the insulation, and the ceiling height, to determine the power your air conditioner should have.

Its advantages are numerous:

  • rapid cooling of rooms in a uniform manner;
  • dehumidification of ambient air for greater comfort;
  • filtration of the air to improve its quality;
  • possibility of controlling the temperature easily with the aid of one sole control unit on the wall.

Note: Get informed on the Inverter technology in certain appliances, which provides greater energy savings and a more constant temperature.

Wall-mounted air conditioning (air conditioner)

A wall-mounted air conditioner is recommended for residences or businesses that don’t have air ducts, or for those that are open-plan. The main unit (condenser) is located outside, while the other unit is installed inside, on a wall.

The power of an air conditioner is generally indicated in BTU. The power of a wall-mounted air conditioner is generally between 9000 and 18 000 BTU.
